The Future of Space Research Is Here

NASA selects Texas A&M as a hub for innovation and exploration

The cutting-edge facility — with a realistic two-and-a-half-acre area replicating the moon’s surface, and another area the same size replicating the surface of Mars — will propel groundbreaking research, fuel industry collaborations and prepare the emerging generation of scientists and engineers to lead humanity’s next great frontier.

Solving the Dementia Crisis

Our dementia initiative unites 17 colleges to solve health transitions before they become diagnoses.

With over $1.2 million in seed funding, the Dementia and Alzheimer’s Research Initiative (DARI) unites researchers across disciplines to drive breakthroughs in prevention, diagnosis and care.

Researchers are shifting the focus from late-stage Alzheimer’s to the earlier biological transition when mild cognitive impairment begins converting to dementia.

Research Centers and Institutes

Research centers and institutes play an important role in the academic landscape at Texas A&M, bringing together scholars and scientists — often from different disciplines — to tackle major research challenges.

Researchers within these specialized units focus on cross-disciplinary thematic areas that impact at scale. From energy, food and water and global health and security to education and outreach and health care, talent and mission converge.
